Tips for Improving Scan Accuracy

Updated this week

Design directly impacts the scannability of your QR code. To avoid scanning issues, please adhere to the following standards when creating your code.

Contrast

  • Color Rules: If the background color and the dot (code) color are too similar, scanners will not be able to recognize the QR code.

  • Caution: The safest combination is a "light background (e.g., white)" with a "dark code (e.g., black or navy)." Please avoid "inverted designs" where the background is darker than the code.

Perform a Scan Test

  • Final Confirmation: Before printing or publishing, always perform a scan test using multiple smartphones (e.g., both iPhone and Android).

  • Checklist: We strongly recommend testing not only on the preview screen but also on a physical printout at the actual size you plan to use.
