If you are unable to scan the QR code, please check if any of the following factors apply:
For issues after scanning, please refer to "Result is not as expected."
1. Design Factors
Color & Contrast
Low contrast between the QR code and the background can prevent scanning.
Inverted colors (light code on a dark background) often cannot be read.
Tip: Ensure the background is light and the QR code is a dark, solid color.
Size
If the code is too small, cameras cannot focus on it. Please download the code in the recommended size.
See our "Download Instructions" for the recommended dimensions.
Resolution
If the QR code image is blurry, it will not scan correctly. In that case, please re-download it in SVG (vector format).
Quiet Zone (Margins) A "Quiet Zone" (empty margin) is required around the QR code so that scanners can recognize it correctly. Please ensure a margin of at least 2 to 4 mm.
2. Printing Factors
Paper Material
Glossy paper or lamination can cause light reflections that interfere with scanning. Please print on matte-finished paper to avoid glare.
Surface Shape
QR codes wrapped around curved surfaces, such as bottles or poles, may become distorted and difficult to read.
3. Scanning Environment & External Factors
Lighting Conditions
Ensure you are in a well-lit area. Scanning may fail in dark rooms or if your smartphone casts a shadow over the QR code.
Camera Lens Cleanliness
If there are fingerprints or smudges on your camera lens, please wipe them off.
Distance and Angle
Hold your phone a short distance away to allow the camera to focus, and try to scan the code directly from the front.
Restart App or Device
If the app is glitching, restarting the app or your smartphone may resolve the issue.
Try a Different Scanner App
While standard built-in camera apps are usually sufficient, using a different QR reader app can sometimes solve scanning problems.
*Note: The way information is displayed may vary depending on the app.
